Samsung Galaxy S26 Set for Major Upgrade With Full Qi2 Support

Enhanced magnetic charging accessories expected at launch

Samsung is preparing a major leap forward for its next flagship lineup as the Galaxy S26 series is reported to include full Qi2 wireless charging support. This marks a significant upgrade that shifts the focus from camera enhancements to next-generation charging technology, positioning the new models strongly against growing competition in the premium smartphone market. Alongside this shift, Samsung is developing an expanded lineup of magnetic accessories designed to integrate seamlessly with Qi2 features, giving users more choice and functionality from day one.

The accessory range will include built-in magnetic cases across several styles such as black carbon, standard clear, magnetic clear, magnetic shockproof, and magnetic silicone in black and gray. All variants are expected to launch for the Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra. Compared to last year’s limited Qi2 Ready selection for previous models, the new lineup introduces a broader, more complete ecosystem to match rising demand for magnetic-based add-ons. Additional items such as a Dual Magnetic Ring Holder and a Qi2-enabled battery pack have also surfaced from earlier reports, hinting at a more comprehensive magnetic system.

One interesting detail is Samsung’s decision to avoid introducing a branded name for its magnetic accessories, contrasting with names like Apple’s MagSafe or Google’s Pixelsnap. Instead, Samsung appears to be keeping it simple by referring to them plainly as magnetic accessories. While surprising, the straightforward approach may help avoid confusion as Qi2 becomes more widely adopted across the industry. Still, a dedicated brand name might emerge later depending on market direction.

If current details hold true, the Galaxy S26’s full Qi2 support paired with a stronger accessory ecosystem will give Samsung’s next flagship lineup a more competitive edge. This upgrade not only enhances charging speed and convenience but also elevates how users interact with accessories in an era where magnetic systems continue to gain global traction.
