Orochi Shermie Descends into THE KING OF FIGHTERS AFK in the Latest Update
Netmarble, a leading global developer and publisher of high-quality games, has released a brand-new update for its AFK RPG title THE KING OF FIGHTERS AFK, introducing a powerful new Legend fighter along with a wide range of in-game events.
Taking center stage in this update is the arrival of Orochi Shermie, one of the Four Heavenly Kings of Orochi. A master of lightning who has sworn absolute loyalty to Orochi, Orochi Shermie is best known for her dramatic and tragic role in The King of Fighters ’97, where she mercilessly tormented other fighters and ultimately sacrificed herself to enable Orochi’s resurrection.
Players can now obtain Orochi Shermie through the Orochi Shermie Pick-Up Event, which is available until January 7, 2026. At the same time, the [Assault] Synergy Fighter Summon Event will also run until January 7, 2026, increasing the chances of recruiting fighters with Assault synergy effects.
In addition, players will have the opportunity to recruit Legend Supporter Botan through the Lucky LP Event, running from December 29, 2025 to January 1, 2026. Meanwhile, Legend Pets Raiko and Wishcatcher will be available via the Path to the New Year Event from January 1 to January 14, 2026. Notably, Raiko is a newly introduced adorable pet inspired by the charm and design of Orochi Shermie herself.
The celebration doesn’t stop there, as THE KING OF FIGHTERS AFK continues to mark its 100-day anniversary with special events. These include the 100-Day Ruby Party Check-In, offering rewards of up to 1 million Rubies, and the 100-Day Coupon Giveaway Event, where players can earn the Legend fighter Orochi Iori.
