LG Unveils UltraGear evo, a New Era of Premium Gaming Monitors with World-First 5K AI Upscaling

LG Electronics has officially announced UltraGear evo, a brand-new premium gaming monitor lineup that represents a major evolution beyond the existing UltraGear series. The new evo lineup is set to make its global debut at CES 2026, positioning LG as a leader in ultra-high-resolution displays starting from 5K and above, covering OLED, new-generation MiniLED, and ultra-wide monitor technologies.
UltraGear evo introduces world-first 5K AI Upscaling
The defining core of UltraGear evo lies in its newly developed on-device AI solution, which processes directly within the monitor itself. This enables the world’s first 5K AI Upscaling technology, capable of enhancing lower-resolution content to near-5K clarity in real time without placing additional load on the PC’s GPU.
In addition to upscaling, the AI system includes AI Scene Optimization and AI Sound, automatically adjusting visual and audio output based on the type of content being displayed, whether gaming, video playback, or productivity.
