ODIN-Q Open-World MMORPG Continues the Legacy of Odin Valhalla Rising

Kakao Games, in collaboration with Lionheart Studio, has officially unveiled ODIN-Q, a large-scale MMORPG project previously known during development as Project Q. The newly revealed title introduces a refreshed brand identity and a modern reinterpretation of Norse mythology, supported by the first released key artwork showcasing high-end visuals and a dark fantasy atmosphere.

ODIN-Q is currently planned for a global launch in Q2 2026, with availability on PC and additional platforms to be announced in the future, targeting players across the SEA Region / Southeast Asia and beyond.

A Modern Reimagining of Norse Mythology

ODIN-Q draws inspiration from classic Norse legends found in the epic Edda, reimagined through a contemporary fantasy lens. Developed using Unreal Engine 5, the game aims to significantly elevate visual fidelity, environmental detail, and immersion compared to its predecessor. The revealed illustrations highlight a grand mythological world filled with mystery, scale, and divine presence.

Seamless Open-World MMORPG Design

The game is built as a fully seamless 3D open-world MMORPG with a quarter-view perspective, emphasizing fluid exploration across a vast interconnected world without loading transitions. Lionheart Studio is leveraging its experience from Odin Valhalla Rising, refining world structure, terrain design, and environmental storytelling to create a more dynamic and living world.

Players will have the freedom to mix and match races and classes, allowing for flexible combat styles and personalized character builds. Each region and dungeon is designed with unique mechanics that encourage cooperative play, while the character progression system supports diverse growth paths suited for both solo adventurers and team-focused players.

Development Status and Release Window

ODIN-Q is currently in active development, with an official launch window set for Q2 2026. Lionheart Studio aims to surpass its previous visual benchmarks, while Kakao Games plans to utilize its global MMORPG publishing experience to ensure a strong and stable worldwide rollout.

More details regarding gameplay systems, world design, and platform support are expected to be revealed in future updates, and the team at This Is Game SEA will continue to provide coverage as new information becomes available.
