Arknights Endfield Gacha System Explained: Everything You Need to Know Before Pulling

If you are currently playing Arknights: Endfield, or planning to jump in due to its growing popularity, there is one system you absolutely need to understand before spending any resources: the gacha system.
Unlike most gacha games on the market, Arknights Endfield introduces several unique mechanics that require careful planning and a different mindset compared to titles such as Genshin Impact, Honkai Star Rail, or Wuthering Waves. This guide breaks down everything you should know so you can pull efficiently and avoid unnecessary regrets.
Quick Summary of the Gacha System
- Two main gacha categories: three character banners and two weapon banners
- Characters are divided into three rarities: 4-star to 6-star
- 6-star guaranteed at 80 pulls with a 50/50 chance, pity carries over between banners
- Soft pity starts at 65 pulls with a 5 percent increase per pull
- Featured character guaranteed at 120 pulls, one time only, does not carry over
- Rate Up banners have stack rewards but do not carry over
- Reach 30 pulls to receive a free 10-pull on the same banner, not counted toward pity
- Reach 60 pulls to receive a free 10-pull for the next banner, not counted toward pity
- Previous Rate Up characters can appear as off-rate units for two future patches
- Weapon banners use Arsenal Tickets
- Weapon banners guarantee a 6-star at 40 pulls and featured weapon at 80 pulls
- Weapon banners also have stack rewards that do not carry over
Gacha Banner Types Explained
Character Banners (3 Types)

Beginner Banner
Limited to 40 pulls using a special currency that cannot be shared with other banners. Once a 6-star is obtained, the banner disappears permanently.

Permanent Character Banner
Always available and does not feature Rate Up characters. Guarantees a 6-star every 80 pulls. After 300 pulls, players can directly select a 6-star character.
Rate Up Character Banner
Introduced with each new patch. When the banner expires, the featured character does not move to the permanent banner and can only be obtained again through a rerun.
Weapon Banners (2 Types)
Permanent Rate Up Weapon Banner
Contains permanent weapons. Players can choose which weapon pool to pull from individually.
Patch-Based Rate Up Weapon Banner
Released alongside new characters, featuring their signature weapons.
Character Rarity System
Arknights Endfield does not use traditional rarity labels like R, SR, or SSR. Instead, rarity is determined by star count.
- 4-star is the lowest rarity
- 5-star is mid-tier
- 6-star is the highest rarity
There are no 3-star characters in the game.
Character Banner Pity System
6-Star Guarantee at 80 Pulls
On Rate Up banners, a 6-star character is guaranteed every 80 pulls. However, this does not guarantee the featured character. There is a 50 percent chance to obtain the Rate Up unit and a 50 percent chance to lose the rate.
The 80-pull pity carries over to future Rate Up banners.
Soft Pity Mechanics
Soft pity begins at 65 pulls. The base 6-star rate starts at 0.8 percent and increases by 5 percent with each pull from 66 onward, reaching a guaranteed 6-star at 80 pulls.
Featured Character Guarantee at 120 Pulls
To fully guarantee the featured character, players must reach 120 pulls on the same Rate Up banner. This guarantee:
- Works only once per banner
- Disappears immediately if the featured character is obtained early
- Does not carry over to future banners
Stack Rewards on Rate Up Banners
Rate Up banners allow players to accumulate stack rewards at milestones such as 240, 480, and 720 pulls. These rewards grant constellation-style upgrades for the featured character.
Stacks are banner-specific and do not transfer to future banners.
Free Pull Bonuses
At 30 Pulls
Players receive a free 10-pull on the same banner. These pulls do not count toward pity or stack progression.
At 60 Pulls
Players receive a free 10-pull ticket usable only on the next banner. These pulls also do not count toward pity or stacks.
Featured Characters in Future Banners
If you miss a featured character, there is still a limited opportunity. The previous Rate Up character can appear as an off-rate result in the next two banners. After two patches, the character becomes unavailable until a rerun.
Weapon Banner System

Arsenal Tickets Explained
Weapon banners use a separate currency called Arsenal Tickets, primarily obtained by pulling on character banners.
Ticket rewards per character pull:
- 6-star character: 2,000 Arsenal Tickets
- 5-star character: 200 Arsenal Tickets
- 4-star character: 20 Arsenal Tickets
A 10-pull on the weapon banner costs 1,980 Arsenal Tickets.
Weapon Banner Pity
- 6-star weapon guaranteed at 40 pulls
- Featured weapon guaranteed at 80 pulls
The 40-pull guarantee has a 25 percent chance to be the featured weapon and a 75 percent chance to lose rate. The 80-pull featured guarantee can only be triggered once per banner and does not carry over.
Weapon Banner Stack Rewards
Weapon banners also feature stack milestones. For example:
- 100 pulls grant a selectable permanent 6-star weapon
- 180 pulls grant the featured weapon
These rewards alternate as pull counts increase. Weapon stacks do not carry over between banners.
Final Thoughts
Arknights Endfield offers one of the most complex and strategic gacha systems currently on the market. While it may feel confusing at first, players familiar with the Arknights franchise will adapt quickly.
Understanding these mechanics will help you plan your pulls wisely, minimize wasted resources, and avoid frustration. Hopefully, this guide gives you the clarity you need before committing your hard-earned currency.
Good luck on your pulls, and may your rates stay kind.
