Goddess of Victory: NIKKE Teases Next Collaboration, Is Lycoris Recoil the Target?

Goddess of Victory: NIKKE is set to launch its next collaboration event on February 12, 2026, and an officially released teaser image is already fueling strong speculation among fans about the crossover partner.

While the collaborating IP has not yet been officially confirmed, a teaser image published on January 30 has sparked widespread discussion within the community.

Teaser Hints Point Toward Lycoris Recoil

The teaser image features the Goddess of Victory: NIKKE logo accompanied by the words “Pian Flower” and a blue ribbon. These elements have led many players to believe that the collaboration partner is the 13-episode TV anime Lycoris Recoil, which originally aired in 2022.

In the world of Lycoris Recoil, female agents belonging to the secret organization DA operate as elite operatives known as “Lycoris.” The name itself is derived from the scientific classification of the Lycoris flower, commonly associated with the term “Pian Flower.” Meanwhile, the blue ribbon shown in the teaser closely resembles a key design element of the school uniform worn by the anime’s main characters.

A Natural Match for NIKKE’s Core Concept

Beyond visual clues, Lycoris Recoil is also thematically aligned with Goddess of Victory: NIKKE. Both properties revolve around the concept of girls wielding firearms, blending action, character-driven storytelling, and stylish combat.

Because of this strong conceptual overlap, Lycoris Recoil has frequently been mentioned by fans in the past as a potential collaboration candidate. The timing further supports the theory, as Lycoris Recoil is currently confirmed to be in production for a sequel.

Expected Characters and Event Content

If Lycoris Recoil is officially confirmed, it is widely expected that the anime’s two main protagonists, Chisato Nishikigi and Takina Inoue, will debut as SSR-tier NIKKE characters. Supporting characters Mizuki Shibata and Kurumi are also expected to appear as SR-tier units.

The collaboration event is anticipated to last approximately three weeks and is described as a large-scale event. Reported features include a 3D navigation map, a mini-game, and the return of a collaboration-exclusive boss, Gatekeeper, appearing as a large-scale raid encounter.

Fewer Collaborations, Higher Quality in 2026

Shift Up has also confirmed that Goddess of Victory: NIKKE will reduce the number of collaboration events from three per year to two starting in 2026, with a greater emphasis on overall quality and production value.

As a result, one collaboration is planned for the first half of the year and another for the second half, making the upcoming February event the first major collaboration of 2026. Fans are now eagerly awaiting the official announcement to see how this highly anticipated crossover will unfold.

The collaboration event officially begins on February 12, 2026.
