PS Plus Extra Adds Spider-Man 2 and Monster Hunter Stories in February Lineup
After the early month wave of free titles for PlayStation Plus Essential members, Sony is now turning its focus to the Game Catalog update for PlayStation Plus Extra and Deluxe subscribers. February’s lineup is shaping up to be one of the strongest in recent memory, led by the arrival of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
All titles listed below will be available starting February 17.
Headline Games Coming to PS Plus Extra
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
The open world superhero sequel brings players back to New York City with both Peter Parker and Miles Morales playable throughout the campaign. The game introduces new abilities, expanded traversal, and cinematic dual character combat, while also featuring one of the franchise’s most anticipated villains, Venom. For fans of the first game, this is a must play addition to the service.
Monster Hunter Stories
A lighter, RPG focused spin off of the Monster Hunter franchise, Monster Hunter Stories casts players as a Rider rather than a traditional Hunter. Players befriend monsters, collect eggs, and raise companions in a colorful anime inspired world. The game serves as a great entry point for newcomers and a relaxing alternative to the mainline series.
Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin
Continuing the Rider storyline, this sequel deepens the RPG mechanics with stronger storytelling, expanded monster bonding through the Kinship Stone system, and more emotional character arcs. The focus on friendship between Riders and monsters gives the game a unique identity within the Monster Hunter universe.
Neva
A visually striking 2D platform adventure from the creators of GRIS, Neva follows a young girl and her mystical fox companion through a collapsing world. The game emphasizes emotional storytelling, artistic presentation, and environmental exploration rather than combat heavy gameplay.
Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown
The first new entry in the Test Drive Unlimited series in over a decade, Solar Crown delivers an open world racing experience featuring more than 30 licensed car brands. Players choose between rival racing factions and explore detailed urban environments while competing in high speed events behind the wheel of luxury and hyper cars.
