The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin shows multiverse story and open world action in new trailer

The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin has released a new trailer ahead of its March launch. The footage offers a clearer look at the game’s scale and narrative direction. At the same time, it sets expectations for a much larger adventure than previous entries.

Developed and published by Netmarble, the game expands the popular manga and anime universe into a full open world RPG. As a result, players can explore Britannia freely across multiple platforms.

A multiverse story that unites familiar heroes

In the new trailer, the spotlight falls on a multiverse-driven storyline. A major crisis spreads across Britannia, forcing heroes from different worlds to cross paths. Because of this, familiar characters return under a much broader narrative scope.

Fan favorites such as Meliodas, Tristan, and Diane appear throughout the trailer. Moreover, their encounters hint at conflicts that go beyond a single timeline. This approach reinforces the theme of parallel worlds colliding.

Open world gameplay with anime-style combat

Beyond story, the trailer also highlights core gameplay. Players can roam Britannia in a seamless open world. Meanwhile, combat focuses on tag-team action, skill chaining, and flexible party setups.

In addition, the game supports cooperative play. Players can team up to explore dangerous areas and face powerful bosses together. Therefore, progression feels shared rather than isolated.

Release schedule and platforms

Players on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam will gain early access starting March 17. The full launch, including mobile versions, is scheduled for March 23 across all supported platforms. Pre-registration is currently open on Google Play, the App Store, and the official website, with Wishlist options available on PlayStation 5 and Steam.

Based on the globally popular manga and anime created by Nakaba Suzuki, the franchise has surpassed 55 million copies sold worldwide. With its open world design and multiverse storytelling, The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin aims to deliver the most expansive adaptation of the series to date.
