Multiple perfect scores from major outlets

Several media outlets awarded perfect ratings. IGN France and ComicBook praised the game for combining the best elements from previous entries into a cohesive anniversary celebration. They highlighted the tense atmosphere, refined combat, and polished presentation.

Meanwhile, GamingBible, Game Rant, Radio Times, CGMagazine, and Restart.run also handed out top marks. Game Informer scored it 9.75 out of 10, while COGconnected gave it 96 out of 100.

Additionally, outlets such as Pure Xbox, DualShockers, Gamereactor, and IGN delivered strong 9 out of 10 scores, reinforcing the game’s critical momentum.

A few mixed opinions

Although the overall reception remains highly positive, a handful of outlets offered more moderate reviews. Region Free rated it 3 out of 5, noting that while the game remains fun, certain elements felt weaker compared to earlier entries.

IGN Italy gave it a 7 out of 10, arguing that the first half feels fresh and genuinely frightening. However, the latter half and the development of new characters did not fully meet expectations.

Even so, the absence of negative reviews suggests broad critical approval.
