Dynasty Warriors 3 Remastered Delayed Indefinitely
Excitement among musou fans was high last year as the Dynasty Warriors franchise announced two major projects: Dynasty Warriors Origins, a next-gen RPG reboot, and Dynasty Warriors 3 Remastered, bringing the beloved classic into the Unreal Engine 5 era. Unfortunately, the latter has now been indefinitely delayed.
KOEI Tecmo and producer Tomohiko Sho confirmed that the remastered edition will not launch in its originally planned March release window. The decision, according to Sho, was made to allow additional time to polish the game and ensure it meets the quality standards expected of a first-time remaster of a core Dynasty Warriors title. Fans are asked to remain patient while the team fine-tunes the gameplay experience.
While no specific release window has been provided, the Steam storefront still lists the game as planned for some time in 2026, suggesting the delay may not be overly long. The transition to Unreal Engine 5, however, requires significant adaptation, particularly to preserve the original game’s complex balance and the nuanced character controls that players remember fondly.
