Now, for players who think that formula still was not wild enough, NetEase Games has unveiled one of the most unconventional heroes yet.
NetEase Games has officially confirmed that Marvel Rivals Season 6, which will receive a free update on January 16, will introduce Deadpool as a brand new playable hero. What sets him apart is a completely unique concept. Deadpool is designed as a single character capable of covering every major role in the game, including Vanguard, Duelist, and Strategist.
Each role comes with its own distinct weapon set and gameplay style. During matches, players can collect energy to upgrade skills and unlock new abilities on the fly through a comic book style skill interface, reinforcing Deadpool’s chaotic personality while adding an unexpected layer of strategic depth.
In Vanguard mode, Deadpool can summon an absurdly oversized unicorn doll to function as a massive shield, embracing both tank utility and trademark humor. When played as a Duelist, he switches to dual firearms and a katana, delivering fast paced and highly aggressive combat. Meanwhile, the Strategist role allows Deadpool to generate healing auras that support nearby teammates, giving him a true support focused identity.
Each role also features its own exclusive ultimate ability, effectively making Deadpool feel like three separate heroes depending on how he is selected. However, teams cannot stack Deadpool across all three roles at once. Players may only switch roles while in the preparation room or after losing a match, keeping team balance intact.
