Microsoft Unveils MAI-Image-1, Its First In-House AI Image Generator, Now Available in Copilot
Microsoft AI has officially begun launching MAI-Image-1, the company’s first text-to-image generator developed entirely in-house. Additionally, MAI-Image-1 is now powering Copilot Audio Expressions. When a user selects Story Mode in Copilot, the AI uses MAI-Image-1 to visualize the narrative with a unique accompanying image.
The model is currently available in all countries that can access Bing Image Creator and Copilot Labs, which includes users across Southeast Asia and the rest of the world, with the exception of the European Union at the present time. Early benchmarking has already placed MAI-Image-1 among the top 10 text-to-image models on LMArena, demonstrating its immediate competitive capability.
